AI Balkans is now available on Android, bringing regional artificial intelligence news, research, policy developments and practical resources directly to mobile devices. Developed by AINOW Society, the official AI Balkans application is available to download for free from Google Play. It gives readers across the Western Balkans a dedicated mobile experience for following AI developments in North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The release extends AI Balkans beyond its website, making regional reporting and reference resources accessible through a dedicated Android application. Regional AI News, Designed for Mobile The application brings together the latest AI news from across the region, alongside international developments that matter to Balkan readers. Its mobile interface includes breaking news, editor's picks and most-read stories. Readers can follow specific countries and topics, save articles for later and continue reading where they left off. Reading preferences include light, dark and sepia themes, with adjustable text size and spacing. Personalisation does not require creating an account. Saved articles, followed topics and reading preferences are stored on the user's device. Lumi, the AI Balkans Assistant The application also includes Lumi, the AI assistant introduced with AI Balkans 2.0. Readers can ask Lumi questions about artificial intelligence developments covered by AI Balkans and receive answers supported by sources. Lumi also allows users to listen to responses, copy information and share answers. The feature connects readers with the publication's existing reporting and reference material, making it easier to explore topics beyond individual headlines. More Than a News Application Alongside daily reporting, the Android application provides access to several AI Balkans resources. The EU AI Act Tracker follows regulatory and policy developments across the six Western Balkan countries, with links to official sources. Readers can also explore the AI Tools directory, AI Glossary and regional AI Directory, which provides information about organisations working in artificial intelligence. A dedicated Android home-screen widget displays the latest headlines without requiring users to open the application. The app is free to use, contains no advertisements and does not require registration. Continuing the AI Balkans Mission AI Balkans was established by AINOW Society to improve access to reliable information about artificial intelligence and give regional developments greater visibility. Since its launch, the publication has expanded beyond news reporting to include research, policy monitoring, practical guides and resources for professionals, educators, researchers and the wider public. The Android application brings these resources into a mobile experience designed for everyday use. Readers can continue accessing AI Balkans through its website, while Android users now have another way to follow the developments shaping artificial intelligence across the region.
