Artificial intelligence is a broad field of computer science focused on building systems that can do things we usually associate with human thinking: understanding text, recognizing what is in a photo, translating languages, spotting patterns, and making predictions.Most of the AI you meet today is narrow AI - very good at one job, like recommending videos or transcribing speech, but unable to do anything outside it. Tools like ChatGPT feel general, but they are still prediction systems trained on huge amounts of data, not thinking machines.
